Liposuction: the difference between VASER and 4D Lipo

Classic liposuction is already an outdated method. How VASER and 4D Lipo work, which zones they are used on, and how the muscle contour looks.

Liposuction is still the most requested body-contouring operation. The technology, however, has advanced considerably since 2020.

Classic liposuction (the old method)

Fat is drawn out with a tube and vacuum. What comes out is a mixture of fat, blood and fluid.

Drawbacks: - Considerable blood loss - An uneven result (wavy skin) - A long recovery - Blue-black marks

VASER lipo (ultrasonic)

Ultrasonic energy first liquefies the fat cells, and only then are they drawn out.

Advantages: - The fat comes out more easily - Vessels and nerves take minimal damage - Less blood loss - A smoother result

Which zones: - Abdomen, waist, thighs, arms, under the chin - In men, imitation of the chest muscles and a 6-pack

4D Lipo (muscle contour)

The advanced form of VASER. Beyond removing fat, it emphasises the existing shape of the muscles.

How does it work? 1. VASER draws out the deep fat layer 2. The superficial fat is shaped to follow the muscle contours 3. Fat-preservation zones (linea alba, sternum) — these imitate the hollows between muscles

The result: The patient gains the look of an athletic build.

Liposuction is a contouring operation, not a method of losing weight. At most 4-6 kg of fat can be removed safely.

The ideal candidate: - Normal or slightly above normal weight - Localised fat deposits - Good skin elasticity
